Quamvis EN, TN, JN dicantur omnes Constantan, EN, TN, non dant eandem curvam EMF output ac JN. EN et TN commutari possunt, sed non convertuntur cum JN. Temperatura operativa range de thermocouple E typo est -200-900℃。
Typus E thermocouple maximum habet EMF output et summae sensus, ideo specimen est parvae temperaturae mutationes metiendae. Habet etiam stabilitatem bonam in frigiditate temperatura usque ad 300 , et bona anti- corrosio proprietatum humiditatis atmosphaerae. Commendatur ad atmosphaeras oxidizationis vel inertes, sed directe adhiberi non potest in reducendo atmosphaeram et atmosphaeram cum vaporibus sulphureis.
